A Motorola Canopy System is based on a wireless
broadband technology that provides for high-speed Internet access
and was designed to provide cost-effective, "last-mile" high
speed data access for customers who previously were underserved
or lived in locations where infrastructure is non-existent. The Canopy system uses Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint networks that can cover distances ranging from two to ten miles in a Multi-Point configuration, or as many as thirty-five miles in a Point-to-Point configuration.
