About Us

Our History
Miner Electronics was founded in Hammond, Indiana, by Harold E. Miner and his son, Jack in 1948. Harold had been a long time entrepreneur in Northwest Indiana, and Jack was a Veteran of World War II, and studied at Purdue University, becoming a Radio Engineer. The original Miner Electronics focused on televisions, as well as two-way radio systems. Motorola made both of these items.
